Getting a Nook Simple Touch: Part 1!!

It was a dark night filled with stars that illuminated the beautiful sky. I smiled as I decided to get a new e-book to read for a while... I then bought the book online, a harlequin cliché romance, with a cliché title too, and spent the rest of the night reading it on the bed on my e-book device. Aaaaaand I lived happily ever after.

....

Well, not really. This is a hypothetical situation i.e. what would have happened if I could get the e-book itself. Brace yourself for the truth, people!! Brace yourself!!

MY E-BOOK DEVICE'S EXISTENCE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY ERADICATED FROM THE WORLD OF E-BOOKS!!
Adobe Digital Editions doesn't recognise my dear, dear iRiver Story anymore, as evidenced from this:

[Book Review] Dark Needs At Night's Edge (Immortals After Dark, #5) by Kresley Cole

Sooooo, here we go again, another one of Kresley Cole's books. My infatuation for this series has barely seemed to fade at all ever since I fell in love with it yet again after re-reading Kiss of A Demon King (the first one that caught my eye). And this book has again proven why I love the series so much....

Yes, yes, again we have stereotypes of the hero so handsome it hurts. I can't say the same for the females, considering other books where some girls are described as plain and dull (though they get the guy, anyway). But this is reality -- readers are not expected to transcend stereotypes and ponder about the true meaning of life and whatnot in fantasy books like this. Girls like, and we want an ultra-hot vampire or werewolf completely smitten with us. And as overused as the formula of the hero is, we still would prefer them over the resident immortal fat pig. (I am not fatist, btw.) It is still a fantasy for us to indulge in, after all!

[Book Review] The Alpha (Vanguards, #2) by Annie Nicholas

And a very good morning to you all~

Well, actually it's 11:13pm on my side now but anyway, it is time for a book review today!

*rubs hands together with glee*

While cracking my head with what to write for my latest book review, I realized I had a number of (well, let's say, eight?) books rotting in my e-book, so I just grabbed this one to re-read. Besides, since I'd finished A Hunger Like No Other just recently, why not welcome another werewolf-related book?

[Book Review] A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole

So, admittedly I was obsessed with this book even before I actually read it, and when I managed to find it after sifting through tons of authors with the 'COL' (Kresley COLe) label, all the while looking around to make sure no one was catching me staring at blush-worthy titles and covers, I WAS SO HAPPY.

Okay, I didn't get this printed edition of the book (the one I got was slightly bigger and with a decent cover that didn't make obvious of what content was actually inside) but readers may identify with it better:

This kind of covers make life for a young, supposedly innocent schoolgirl rather difficult you see.
(oh, the blurbs at the back of the book too)

MY VERY FIRST POST.

Let's see, I don't exactly know how to begin my very first post, considering the fact that I've just created this and I'm like

OMG OMG OMG I FINALLY MADE THIS BLOG

I guess you can picture me being like this, with the addition of flapping arms and all that.

This blog will be mostly comprised of book reviews, and probably a few movie reviews on the side (no promises! :D). I'll be updating this regularly, and soon -- probably first with Kresley Cole books, seeing how I'm obsessed with her at the moment. *excited*

But before that....

Let's tell us more about me.

[Types of genres I like, FOR NOW]
- Romance - yes, you may top that off with lots of sex.
- Action. the more, the merrier!
- Supernatural, i.e. vampires and werewolves. blame it on Kresley Cole...
- Science fiction. - and thank you, Total Recall!

[The books I dislike, for now.] (don't worry, the list will groooooow.)
- Fifty Shades of Crap,
- Twilight.  - I will whine about them later.

I am also a perfectionist, so don't be surprised if you read one post today and find it completely changed the next day: I've lost count of how many edits this very post has gone through. Okay, that's enough nonsense about me for now. I will... have no life and do something else for now. Or maybe I should get started on a book review. Heh heh heh...
Oh and one last thing: there might be small spoilers here as there, but I will never give too much away at one go, because I want YOU to read the books too!!:)
