Man of The Week: Marlon Brando

Man of The Week: 3/11/12 - 10/11/12,

MARLON BRANDO

DIMPLES!!! AHHHH!! DIMPLES!!!

What exactly is up with those men in the Golden Age of Hollywood? (I don't know either.) They ooze sexual assurance, energy, charisma, and for Marlon Brando, 'raw animal magnetism'. The essence of true masculinity. Yum, yum! (Though I can barely hear what he is muttering about when I watch his movies, but really, whatever.) His smile is mesmerising. His body was... so fine. Those intense eyes that can almost look right through you, and that aura of a true man. And THAT JAWLINE!! In how many actors can you find such a beautifully defined one now? Dayum!

The first encounter between Blanche and Stanley. Blanche's pretense, Stanley's animalistic behaviour, she flirts, he plays along. Sexual tension fills the entire atmosphere. I suggest you enlarge it to admire his beautiful face and the small details better.

1:55 -- "MEOW"
then... "Hey Stella" so nonchalantly.

Though I am so saddened by the tragedy that A Streetcar Named Desire is, one can't help but love Marlon Brando in his portrayal of Stanley Kowalski, because he does it so, so well. And just look at that body.

This is one of the most beautiful photos of him I have seen.

Ah ha ha ha ha, I'm definitely drunk now ha ha ha

My secret desire? Model for Calvin Klein... but you know, they hadn't been founded yet...

He appears to have an uncanny love for t-shirts, though.

Marlon Brando: Making smoking hot since the early 1900s.

I'll end off this post with him in a suit, and he was really good at pulling them off though he appeared to very much dislike wearing them (he preferred t-shirts way, way more). He wasn't very tall (1.75m) but definitely proportional, with his long legs and broad shoulders.

oops, one more!

This still is taken from a screen test he did for Rebel Without a Cause (however as we all know, the role eventually went to James Dean). I don't know how it would have been like if he actually had played Jim Stark, but I would have loved the movie nonetheless. In this screen test <youtube>, it is around this moment [3:50] he does an eye-roll at the mention of Tallulah Bankhead while naming a few movies he has done. So darn cute. And when he looks directly at the camera [4:26]... ah, melt... From 4:30 onwards you can see his entire body in a suit as he awkwardly walks around the room looking for something to do.

I suggest you enlarge it too. It's in good quality, anyway.

Credits to Google and Youtube as usual. I love you, Marlon Brando. <3
